Health Care Industry Cybersecurity Task Force Second In-Person Meeting
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) hosted the second in-person meeting of the Health Care Industry Cybersecurity Task Force. The task force continued its study of best practices from other organizations in order to draw lessons that can be applied to healthcare. They divided into groups to identify health care challenges and generate recommendations based on knowledge gained and individual expertise. These challenges and recommendations will be incorporated into a framework which will identify gaps in sub-sectors of the health care sector and help to frame the report to Congress.
A portion of the meeting was open to the public and the Task Force shared its progress since the April 2016 task force meeting
The task force was created by the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 and is comprised of government and private industry leaders who are innovators in technology and pioneers in health care.
