FDA issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for Paxlovid for the treatment of mild-to-moderate coronavirus disease in adults & pediatric patients (12 yrs of age & older weighing at least 40 kg or about 88 lbs) with positive results of direct SARS-CoV-2 testing, & who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, including hospitalization or death.
Today, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration issued an emergency use authorization for AstraZeneca’s Evusheld for the pre-exposure prevention of COVID-19 in certain adults & pediatric individuals (12 yrs of age & older weighing at least 40 kg [about 88 lbs]).
To address gaps in health care delivery during disasters, ASPR selects a fourth demonstration site for the Regional Disaster Health Response System, the Southern Regional Disaster Response System based at Emory University.
